We Got Soccer is a good Online Soccer Equipment outlet for the small operation that it is. It had a few good features, a solid selection of soccer equipment, and some pricing that could easily make it competitive with our top rated sites. However, it lacked a full inventory and some of the key bells and whistles we came to love with some of the other sites we reviewed.
We Got Soccer has a little bit of everything you’ll need. Although the selection is fairly minimal, we were able to find all the gear required for a match whether it is for a player, a coach, a fan or a referee. We Got Soccer also offers good searchability. All of their options are listed on a left hand nav bar. Certain options—such as shoes or other apparel—will offer a subcategory to funnel your search by brand name. However, we would have been nice to see a more specific search so as to not have to wade through two or three pages of items to find what we were looking for.
The one thing we really loved about We Got Soccer was the pricing. They easily had some of the best prices out of any other site we reviewed. To validate this claim we chose four popular products: An AC Milan 09/10 Ronaldinho 80 Home Soccer Jersey, a Liverpool home jersey, a pair of Adidas Predator PowerSwerves and a Select Numero 10 ball. We Got Soccer offered the lowest price on all of these items, with the exception of the Ronaldinho jersey which they do not carry.
When it came to features, We Got Soccer didn’t really show up to play. We could not find any email subscription through which users could obtain information or specials, no soccer news outlet and no large team account options, which were all features we praised other sites for possessing.
This being said, we do appreciate We Got Soccer for offering free ground shipping for orders upward of $75. This adds to their already stellar pricing which we found to be extremely low. We Got Soccer also has a fairly robust clearance section, although it only consist of footwear.
Another cool feature we’d like to point out is that the site offers literature in foreign languages, and seeing as a large portion of the soccer community resides outside of the U.S., this is a very beneficial feature.
We Got Soccer was able to cover the basics really well. They have a good selection of footwear—including firm ground, hard ground and indoor—soccer balls, soccer bags, shin guards and goal keeper accessories. We Got Soccer also offers separate categories for Women’s and Youth equipment.
As for coaching and refereeing gear, We Got Soccer kind of skimped out. For coaches all they offer is a few scrimmage vests, an air pump, and a collection of medical accessories. There was no practice or training equipment such as hurtles, agility ladders, goals, etc. As well, all that was in the referee section was side line flags and a collection of stripped official’s shirts.
For customer support We Got Soccer offers a decent FAQ section through which you can find the answers to generic questions. They can also be reached by phone or via email.
We Got Soccer is a good Online Soccer Equipment site with enough features to help out its soccer patrons. The aspects we thoroughly enjoyed were the pricing—which was the best we’ve seen—the searchability, and the customer support. We would have liked to see more key features like soccer news or large team account options, as well as a more robust inventory.
