Soccer Cart is neither exceeding spectacular or dreadfully dull. Rather, it is right there in that middle ground. It has good searchability, selection and pricing, but not the best. As well, it offers a lot of good equipment—with the exception of coaching gear—and some OK features. However, we were not overly inspired by their customer support system which lacked an FAQ section.
We found the searchability on Soccer Cart’s site to be pretty level. Their initial interface isn’t jumbled with a lot of literature and flashy pictures and everything seems to be in a neat order. All of the available categories are listed in the left hand nav bar. Each category, if chosen, will take you to a listing of subcategories. For instance, Men’s Apparel offers six sub categories ranging from Polos to Pants. You will also have the option f shopping by price or by brand. These two options are also in the left hand nav bar below the official categories.
The selection and price were also just as level. All of the typical gear you would expect to find on an Online Soccer Equipment site is present. To validate this claim we chose four popular products: An AC Milan 09/10 Ronaldinho 80 Home Soccer Jersey, a Liverpool home jersey, a pair of Adidas Predator PowerSwerves and a Select Numero 10 ball. In truth, the only item Soccer Cart offered was the Liverpool jersey, the price of which was even with all of the other products we reviewed. However, they appeared to have a good selection in addition to lacking these tester items.
We were not overly impressed with Soccer Cart in this category. They were lacking any spectacular features that might draw a customer back. The only features we found that are worth mentioning are the Large Team Account options and the clearance section.
Soccer Cart’s Large Team Account option is actually rather good. It allows you to purchase uniforms bulk, and while you can’t custom design them, there is a large selection of both Adidas and Nike uniforms. We also found their prices to be extremely good in comparison to their Online Soccer Equipment counterparts.
The clearance section is a little less stunning. When we checked, it held a total of seven items: one pair of shoes, four jerseys and two pairs of shorts; and none of them were replica uniforms.
For all the players out there, Soccer Cart offers a good selection of gear. No matter what position you play, you’ll be able to find something that’ll fit your needs. They offer Hard Ground, Firm Ground and indoor shoes, a variety of balls, keeper equipment, socks, shin guards and bags. All of this is also offered in Women’s and Youth sizes.
For the fans Soccer Cart offers a decent selection of replica merchandise. If you want the jersey of your favorite player or team, chances are good you can find it at Soccer Cart. As well, they offer a great selection of replica tees, shirts, tops, jackets and vests.
The only things we didn’t find—and really wanted to see—was a section for coaching gear and referee gear.
We were a little disappointed to discover Soccer Cart does not offer an FAQ section. These are extremely useful for shopper who have a generic questions (which most are). It is also helpful for the company because people do not continually call about trivial questions. However, seeing as there is no FAQ section, you are left only to reach the company via phone or email.
Soccer Cart will do for an Online Soccer Equipment retailer; however, they could sharpen a few of their points. We really would have liked to see an FAQ section, as well as a more robust features section. This being said, we found their navigation system to be incredibly accurate, their prices to be par with their counterparts, and their selection to be of adequate amount.
